Book A SUP Lesson

To book a SUP lesson, simply choose the course that suits your needs then select the day on the calendar and book your course. We will confirm the booking by return email. 

This is a fun packed session for those who want to try Stand Up Paddleboarding

Duration : 2 hrs

Qualification : BSUPA ready to ride card

Description : Suitable for beginners of all ages from 6 + , after your safety briefing and dry land demo we are straight into the calm flat water on the river adur for lots of fun !!

Aim : we aim to give you a basic understanding of paddleboarding including :

  • Prone paddling
  • Paddling on our knees practicing basic paddle strokes
  • Progressing to standing and first rides
  • Turning the board
  • Emergency stop
  • Safety on the water

Next step : improver session or river trip

What to bring , we supply all technical equipment for your session including wetsuits and buoyancy aids . All you need to bring is an old pair of trainers or wetsuit shoes to wear in the water .

Other information : theres free parking , public toilets nearby and food and drink available from 1PM onards at our location by the river in Shoreham

This is a fun packed session for those who have done our day one session or tried Paddleboarding and would like more practice and learn some extra skills

Duration : 2 hrs

Qualification : BSUPA ready to ride card

Description : Suitable for all ages from 6 + , after your safety briefing we are straight into the calm flat water on the river adur for lots of fun !!

Aim : To help you feel more confident in the water and teach you some more advanced techniques including :

  • A stronger paddle stroke
  • Improved stance
  • Step back turn
  • Bow turns
  • Surf stance technique
  • Rescue techniques

What to bring, we supply all technical equipment for your session including wetsuits and buoyancy aids . All you need to bring is an old pair of trainers or wetsuit shoes to wear in the water .

Other information : There’s free parking , public toilets nearby and food and drink available from 1PM onwards at our location by the river in Shoreham.

Duration : 1.5 – 2 hours minimum group size 4 people

Description : Relax and wind down while watching the sun set over the sea .

This is a great way to have some fun with your friends after work or at the end of the day while paddling on the sea on our SUPs or Kayaks . We will meet you at Lancing after work or an hour and a half before sunset on your chosen day or call us if it’s a last minute booking .

What to bring :
Wetsuit shoes or old trainers / flip flops
Water
We supply everything else including wetsuits if needed

Our instructors have been SUPing since 2008 so have plenty of experience and are BSUPA senior instructors.

Anything from better stance , improved paddle technique ,planning expeditions through to SUP surf techniques and catching more waves we can fast track you to reach your goals .

Course Info :
This is a real adventure !! it’s a great way to spend a couple of days relaxing and having fun on the river with friends .

We will be paddling with the current which makes it easier and more enjoyable. The days will flow as follows :

  • MEET UP , SAFETY BRIEF AND GET CHANGED
  • PADDLE FOR TWO TO THREE HOURS ( TIPS AND TECHNIQUES WILL BE GIVEN THROUGHOUT THE TWO DAYS )
  • BREAK FOR A DRINK AND SNACK
  • PADDLE FOR A FURTHER TWO TO THREE HOURS
  • PITCH TENTS ,SHOWER AND GET CHANGED
  • RELAX AND HAVE SOME DINNER AT A LOCAL PUB
  • DAY TWO
  • PADDLE FOR TWO TO THREE HOURS
  • SNACK AND A DRINK
  • PADDLE FOR A FURTHER TWO TO THREE HOURS
  • PACK UP AND HEAD HOME MID AFTERNOON

If you are looking to learn or improve your SUP surf skills, these sessions are fantastic for safety, skills and confidence on the water.

Qualification : BSUPA SUP surf beginner ready to ride card

Description : We recommend a course consisting of one, two, or three lessons depending on prior experience , call us first to discuss your current level and we can tailor the sessions to suit your requirements.

Cost : It’s £100 per 2 hour session , 2 x sessions for £190 or 3 x sessions for £270 , call Frazer to book on 07872 904302

Aim : We aim to equip you with the necessary safety , paddle and board skills to help you enjoy this adrenaline packed sport !!

Location : Lancing or Shoreham beach

Lesson 1

We will assess your board and paddle skills at the start of this session , help you improve body position , teach you sweep strokes, pivot turns and paddling for small broken waves.

We will also cover safety on the water and reading the swell so you can catch more waves . This is a great session even if you have SUP surfed before as we can build a solid foundation for lesson 2.

Lesson 2

This session is all about strengthening the skills you learnt in session one :
Explosive paddling to catch more waves
Body and board position prior to catching waves
Riding down waves
Riding along waves

Lesson 3

Session 3 we will recap on previous sessions and work on and improve any skills you need to work on including :
Riding down waves
Riding across waves
Paddling in choppy and windy conditions
Body and board positioning for catching bigger waves .

If you are looking to learn to SUP and progress quickly, these sessions are fantastic for safety, skills and confidence on the water.

Duration : 4 x 2.5 hour intensive adrenaline packed sessions !!
Qualification : BSUPA SUP ready to ride and ready to tour card
Description : If you are new to SUP or have been out a few times and want to gain confidence and skills in different environments this is the course for you . Over the four days you will learn to paddle on flat water , plan and navigate your own trips on rivers and the sea and learn all safety aspects and rescue techniques so you can venture out on your own with confidence .
It’s £120 per session for one to one or £80 per person per session if there’s 2 or more .

Session 1
We will introduce you to this amazing sport on the flat calm water on the river Adur to include the following modules :

River Trip
We paddle with the current practicing the board and paddle skills learnt in the previous two sessions while relaxing and taking in the beautiful scenery.
We will also look at how to plan short trips and multi day expeditions and general safety on the river . Also what kit is needed .
Session 4
Sea Session
This session is all about using the skills you’ve learnt over the previous 3 sessions and using them on the sea. we will cover the following modules :
•Assessing the conditions
•Paddling into currents and wind
•Balance techniques for choppier conditions
•Paddling straighter and more powerfully
Next Step : After completing this course  you will have the skills to Paddleboard confidently on your own and to plan short trips on the sea or river .You will be able to practice in different environments and be able to read weather forecasts so you can plan your trips in advance .
